The technology

The protocols and designs we work with every day.

Clos fabric

Leaf-spine architecture

Every leaf switch connects to every spine, so any two servers are the same distance apart and traffic spreads across equal-cost paths. We size the oversubscription ratio to your workload and leave room to grow by adding leaves or spines.

VXLAN

With BGP EVPN control plane

Layer 2 and Layer 3 networks carried over a routed underlay, so workloads can move between racks without redesigning the network. We build multi-tenant segments with VRFs and anycast gateways.

BGP

Underlay, overlay, and edge

The routing protocol that holds modern data centers together. We design the underlay and EVPN overlay, add BFD for fast failure detection, and write route policy for internet and cloud edges.

Data center interconnect

DCI between sites

Linking two or more sites for disaster recovery or active-active operation. We plan the Layer 2 and Layer 3 extension, the dark fiber or wavelength links underneath, and encryption in transit where it's required.

InfiniBand

Fabrics for GPU training

A lossless, low-latency network built for large AI training clusters. We design the topology, plan the cabling and optics, and configure subnet management so the fabric performs under full load.

RoCEv2

RDMA over Converged Ethernet

RDMA performance on standard Ethernet switches. It only works well when the network is tuned for it, so we configure PFC, ECN, and QoS, then test with real traffic before go-live. We'll also tell you when InfiniBand is the better fit.

AI networking, built for GPUs

AI training and inference clusters put more pressure on the network than any traditional workload. A single slow link can leave expensive GPUs idle. We design and build the lossless, high-bandwidth fabrics these clusters need.

  • Fabric design for GPU clusters, from a few racks to large pods
  • Lossless Ethernet with RoCEv2, PFC and ECN tuned for AI traffic
  • NVIDIA Spectrum Ethernet with Cumulus Linux, and NVIDIA Quantum InfiniBand
  • Arista and Cisco AI-ready data center switching
  • Separate front-end, storage and compute networks designed together
  • Validation, performance testing and operational handover

Why choose PacketBridge

We are an engineering-led networking and security partner. Our work is built around getting the design right, proving that it works, and leaving your team able to run it.

Senior engineers on every project

The engineer who designs your network is the one who builds it. Our architects and engineers are industry certified, with close to 18 years in the field.

Clear scope and fixed fees

Statements of work spell out what we do, what you provide and what it costs, so there are no surprises.

Documented and change-controlled

HLD, LLD, SOPs, test results and as-built documents come as standard, and every production change follows your change process.

Vendor-neutral advice

We recommend what suits your environment and budget, and we tell you when you do not need something.

Your team stays in control

Knowledge transfer is part of every project, so your staff can run what we build.

Support after go-live

Hypercare is included, and managed services are there if you want ongoing help.

How we compare

Here is how a PacketBridge engagement differs from what many clients experience with a large integrator or reseller. Providers vary, so ask any partner the same questions.

How a project runs

Every engagement follows the same disciplined path, so you always know what happens next and nothing reaches production untested.

  1. Discover

We learn your environment, goals and constraints, and agree on success criteria.

  2. Design

You get a high-level design (HLD) and a low-level design (LLD) to review before anything is built.

  3. Build

Configuration happens in approved change windows, with a rollback plan for every step.

  4. Validate

We test against the agreed plan, including failover, and share the results.

  5. Hand over

As-built documents, SOPs, knowledge transfer and hypercare, with managed support if you want it.

Documentation your team can rely on

Every project ends with a complete, clearly written document set. It is built so a new engineer can understand the network, operate it and change it safely, long after our project is over.

The plan

HLD

High-level design

The big picture: what we are building, why it is built that way, and how the pieces fit together.

  • Business and technical requirements
  • Architecture and topology diagrams
  • Design decisions and the trade-offs behind them
  • Protocol and technology choices: underlay, overlay, routing, security zones
  • Addressing, VLAN and VRF strategy
  • Resilience, scale and growth plan
  • Assumptions, risks and dependencies

For architects, managers, and security and audit reviewers

The build

LLD

Low-level design

Every detail needed to build, configure and rebuild the network exactly the same way.

  • Device models, software versions and rack elevations
  • Port maps, cable schedules and patching details
  • Interface, IP, VLAN, VNI and VRF assignments
  • BGP, EVPN, QoS and security policy parameters
  • Configuration templates and naming standards
  • Optics and cabling specifications

For implementation and operations engineers

The runbook

SOP

Standard operating procedures

Step-by-step instructions your team follows for the work they do every week.

  • Adding a VLAN, VRF or tenant
  • Onboarding new devices, racks or sites
  • Replacing a failed switch, optic or cable
  • Firmware upgrades and rollback
  • Configuration backup and restore
  • Failover testing and troubleshooting guides
  • Change, escalation and incident procedures

For the NOC, support and on-call engineers

Also in every handover

  • As-built diagrams: physical, logical and Layer 3
  • Bill of materials and asset inventory
  • Test and failover results
  • Configuration backups taken at go-live
  • Knowledge-transfer sessions with your team
  • Change log and version history for every document

How we write it

  • Written for the next engineer. Plain language, consistent templates and clearly labeled diagrams.
  • Reviewed with you. You approve the HLD before we build, and the as-built set before we close the project.
  • Matches the live network. As-built documents reflect what was actually built, including changes made along the way.
  • Yours to keep and edit. Delivered in editable formats, so your team can maintain them.

Questions clients ask

Straight answers before you pick up the phone.

How do you price projects?

Project work is quoted against a written statement of work that spells out what we do, what you provide and what it costs, with fixed-fee options. Managed services are scoped to your environment and agreed up front.

Do you work with the equipment we already have?

Yes. We are multi-vendor and design around what you run today. We recommend changes only where they solve a real problem, and we tell you when you do not need something.

Will I talk to an engineer or a salesperson?

An engineer. From the first conversation you speak with the people who design and build the network, not a call center.

How long does a project take?

It depends on the scope, from a short assessment to a multi-site build. Your proposal includes a written timeline, and production changes happen in change windows you approve.

What do we receive at the end?

A high-level design (HLD), low-level design (LLD) and standard operating procedures (SOPs), plus a bill of materials, test results including failover, as-built documentation, and knowledge transfer for your team.

What happens after go-live?

Hypercare is included, so we are there while your team settles in. After that, managed services are available if you want ongoing monitoring, patching and support.

Can you work alongside our internal team?

Yes. We can add senior engineers to your projects, cover gaps while you hire, and follow your existing change process. Knowledge transfer is part of every project, so your team can run what we build.

How do we get started?

Fill in the consultation request form or email us. The first conversation is free, and you will hear back within one business day. It helps to include a short description of the project, your timeline and any constraints, and to mention if you would like an NDA first.

Request a consultation

Tell us about your network, your project or the problem you are trying to solve. You will hear from an engineer, not a call center.

  • Free initial consultation
  • Clear proposal with fixed-fee options
  • Response within one business day
  • NDA available before you share details

What happens next

  1. We read your request. An engineer replies within one business day.
  2. We talk it through. A short conversation to understand your goals and constraints.
  3. You get a proposal. A written scope with fixed-fee options, so you can decide with the full picture.
